CAS-TWAS Center of Excellence in Biotechnology is positioned to promote scientific and technological exchanges and talent cultivation in the field of biotechnology among developing countries. With the goal of fostering the development of biotechnology industries in developing nations, it focuses on providing strategic consulting for biotechnology industries as its core mission. The center aims to strengthen personnel exchanges and information sharing, establish a dedicated portal website, and conduct systematic planning, design, and management. It serves as an institution for initiating, organizing, coordinating, and implementing collaborations between the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries
(TWAS) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in the biotechnology sector. By enhancing innovative capacities in developing countries, the center lays the foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation between CAS and developing nations in biotechnology.
